Nashville, TN (August 1, 2005) – Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand’s song, “Dream Big” is currently being featured in national television promotions for NBC’s new eagerly anticipated prime-time television series, “Three Wishes,” hosted by Grammy award winner Amy Grant. The promotional spots for “Three Wishes” began airing last Thursday, July 28 and will continue throughout the coming weeks. The tag line “Dream Big” is also used in NBC online promotions and on pages where one can nominate deserving individuals for the show. The program will grant wishes for those chosen and will spotlight their inspiring and touching stories. It premieres on September 23.
“‘Dream Big’ is a wonderful fit for ‘Three Wishes,’” says Fletcher Foster, Sr. Vice President, Marketing/Capitol Records. “From the initial release of this single, there was an enormous reaction from listeners of all generations and walks of life. Because of its widespread appeal and poignant theme, it perfectly mirrors the essence of the new show. I believe it will continue to strike a chord with NBC’s viewers.”
Since “Dream Big” first released to radio airwaves, Capitol Records and the band’s management and website have received hundreds and hundreds of letters from people responding to the lyrics of the song which urge, “When you laugh, be sure to laugh out loud, 'Cause it will carry all your cares away. And when you see, see the beauty all around and in yourself and it will help you feel okay. And when you pray, pray for strength to help to carry on when the troubles come your way. And when you dream, dream big.”
“This song means a lot to me personally and to all of us as a band,” says songwriter and front man Ryan Shupe. “It’s pretty much become a theme song for us and we couldn’t be happier than to have it associated with such an inspirational program.”
“Dream Big” was released as a commercial single on June 7th and has held the Number Two position on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles Sales Chart since. The Capitol Records Nashville CD, by the same name, hits streets on September 6.
